The Human Resource Manager for an industry-leading retailer had previously struggled with attracting candidates who not only met the minimum qualifications but also demonstrated a genuine interest in the company culture and growth potential. The job fair was an important opportunity to connect with prospective candidates for various on-site and remote roles.

Despite previous promotions, the company struggled with reaching the right talent pool—candidates who fit the job specifications and company culture. With a limited budget and a short timeframe for promoting the job fair, there was pressure to quickly raise awareness and ensure that the event would attract the most relevant talent.

Facebook's targeting tools allowed us to segment audiences. Using interest and behaviors, location, and job skills to filter our who sees the ads. Instead of simply advertising an event, we crafted messaging that spoke directly to the ideal candidate’s motivations: Career Growth, Exlcusive Oppourtunities, also Diversity and Inclusion.

Results

With a modest budget, the Facebook and Instagram ads proved to be highly cost-effective. The CPM was 31% lower than previous job fair marketing efforts, maximizing the return on ad spend. The overall number of clicks to the company careers page increased by 5% while decreasing CPC by 5%
